Once your website is up and functional don’t just sit on it hoping that people will come to it. Go to website directories and submit your site. This means that your website will now be visible for all the search engine spiders to come and crawl it and index it. People will now be able to find it.

Get links from other sites that are related to yours. It is like going for the popular vote, the site with the most links wins. You want to be that website! Get reciprocal linking. This only works if you have good and unique content on your site. This can be a long tedious task but the results are usually quite worth it. To get this done, you need to find other niche sites like yours and ask the owner to exchange links with you. If you link with sites that have above Google page ranking of five it will hold more weight in the popular link contest and push your site up in rankings which again will give you more traffic.
